UPCOMING EVENTS AT THE GALLERY
Carnival in Focus : Photographic Competition
THEME
Photographs should encapsulate the spirit of carnival intertwined with the ambience of winter.
Participants are encouraged to explore and capture what ‘carnival’ means to them during the winter season. This could include capturing photos of the festive events, vibrant costumes, dynamic performances, or the joyous atmosphere of the Greytown Winter Festival. You may also decide to photograph your friends and family having fun at the events or yourself enjoying it too. Judges will look for originality and creative expression, think outside the box and present a unique perspective. While creativity is key, keep an eye on some of the details in your photos - what is around the edges or sides of your photo?, is it distracting or is it something you want to include? What is your subject or the story you are trying to tell with your photo? Remember, the judges don’t have written explanations so everything in your photo should tell the story to the viewer. Good luck and have fun!
